Paramount Skydance Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount plans to begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further global layoffs are likely, with Paramount Skydance intending to disclose full details during its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Earlier reports suggested that Paramount aimed to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, the organization had nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
